We are a dynamic and forward-thinking financial services organisation, seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our senior management team as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this high-impact role, you will play a critical part in shaping our financial strategy, enabling data-driven decision-making on all levels, both short and long term.

Head of FP&A – Role Overview

In this senior leadership position, you will take full ownership of the financial planning and forecasting cycle—covering annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-term strategic plans. You will design and maintain sophisticated financial models spanning revenue, costs, cash flow, and regulatory requirements, ensuring decision-makers have reliable insights at their fingertips.

By rigorously analysing performance against targets, you will uncover key drivers of variance, highlight opportunities to improve profitability, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating strategic projects and investments, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders by translating complex financial insights into meaningful guidance for both near-term priorities and long-term growth.

Beyond day-to-day planning, you will spearhead the continuous enhancement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to drive efficiency and scalability. You will also shape the evolution of the FP&A function in line with L&C’s ambitious growth agenda—fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.

About you

You are a qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with significant post-qualification experience in commercial environments—ideally within regulated financial services or the mortgage sector. With a strong background in financial planning & analysis, you bring advanced modelling, forecasting, and analytical expertise, along with the ability to turn complex financial data into actionable insights that drive decision-making.

Commercially astute and detail-oriented, you combine technical excellence with strong communication and influencing skills. You can distil complex financial concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with non-financial stakeholders, enabling you to build credibility and impact at the most senior levels.

You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where precision and strategic thinking are equally important. Proactive, curious, and results-driven, you are motivated by the opportunity to partner directly with the CFO and play a pivotal role in shaping both short-term priorities and long-term growth ambitions.
